DYHN? What does that mean?

Hey there! I'm Tamarrah Phillips, the founder of DYHN Fitness. You might be wondering, "What does DYHN mean?" Well, let me tell you all about it! During a personal time of deep prayer in October of 2020, I had a life-changing encounter with the Holy Spirit. The acronym DYHN was revealed to me as a way for us to reflect more accurately on being joined and united, in Him. So, what does it stand for?

The Hebrew letters Yod-Nun-Dalet-Hey (YNDH) coincide with the English word JOINED, which is what we are working towards in our practice. This revelation led me to believe that God desires us to continually align our Spirit, mind, soul, and body; not absent or outside of Him, but by exploring the vastness of healing, strength, and true wholeness within Him.

Let me break down the meanings of the Hebrew letters D-Y-H-N. D stands for Dalet, which means Door. We have a choice to open our hearts or stay closed, and it relates to humanity. Y stands for Yod, which means The very point in everything. It signifies that Yahweh God is in EVERYTHING and nothing is absent from His mark and His hand. H stands for Hey, which means The Divine Breath. It represents the life breath in all creation, including our instincts and the gift of our emotions. Finally, N stands for Nun, which means The Seed process. It represents the fullness of seeing every moment as a new opportunity to begin from a place of wholeness and completeness.

These aspects and elements revealed in each one of the living Hebrew letters coincide with the postures, poses, and positions in the practice we have only known up to now as Yoga. I believe that Yahweh will continue to reveal the keys of newness, wisdom, and understanding as we engage these attributes from a place of clarity.
